Krematorii

Krematorii are another band which has been around for a number of years. Their first album came out in 1983 and they are still recording and performing today. They take in a range of styles based on blues, rock and folk, and their sound is lent a symphonic feel by the presence of strings in their lineup. Their songs cover many areas of social awareness and are enhanced by the deadpan delivery of lyricist and vocalist Armen Grigoriyan (right). All the albums have highlights with songs like 'Malenkaya Devochka' and 'Musorniy Veter' being stand-outs from the earlier albums. But they are consistently good, and the more recent 'Botanika' being notable.
