These pages will show a personal view of the city of Kazan and its people. It will consist in pictures and memories of my time there and some of the friends I made. The city

Follow the link above to see some views of the city centre. Kazan is a large city and if you want the official statistics you can find it all here. Away from the centre things look much the same, but just start to thin out a little. To the right are views of Ulitsa Kosmanovta, where I lived, and Komorova, where I worked at the Soros Institute.
 
  Not far from Kosmanovtov can be seen open country side in this image (left). And below can be seen the beauty of the summer forest and the Volga.
 
                 
  As Kazan is so far inland, people relax with short breaks in the countryside (often at their dacha) or on the sandy banks of the Volga.
