This section is not intended to be a comprehensive guide to Russian cinema. It is here mainly because of the connection between film and music, but will be expanded as time allows.

e-mule, which is based on 'e-donkey' is our prefered p2p manager and is one of the best for Russian films and music. Follow the link for the program. Where possible, each movie in this section will have an e-mule link included. Simply click on the link and the film will be entered into your e-mule (or e-donkey) download list. You can also try Kazaalite (the lite version of Kazaa without spyware) which is also good for Russian films and can be fast. There are, of course, others but we have yet to try them.

We shall also be including downloadable subtitle files where they are available. These can be used to subtitle the avi or mpeg files and will be in *.sub, *.srt, or *.ssa formats. For full details of how to edit, add subtitles and do many other things with video files go to dvdrhelp.com.

Almost all of the films here can be purchased in a variety of formats from www.rbcmp3.com.
