The Snow Queen

This version of the Andersen fairy tale will be familiar to anybody in Britain old enough to remember the tv series 'Tales From Europe'. Along with other European productions, this excellent adaptation was shown with an English comentary explaining the dialogue. It is now available on DVD in its original Russian version (the English voiced version being long lost) with English subtitles. As with many Russian children's films, this is beautifully filmed and totally convincing.
