The Night Watch

A Russian horror film, heavy on the kind of special effects seen in most Hollywood movies these days. Based on the novels by Sergei Lukyanenko, who also co-wrote the screenplay, and the first of a trilogy. It's inventive, though gory in places, but gripping. Available on DVD with English subtitles.
