Bear's Kiss (2002)
Criminally unreleased!!

Bear's Kiss comes from the same team that created the wonderful 'I Wanted to see Angels' and, unsurprisingly, is another remarkable film. Bizarrely, the film has yet to have a release outside of Russia, despite being a multi-national production. So the only version readily available is a Russian dub.However we have produced a version with English dialogue - see link below.

Beware of the poor reviews of the film. This is an intensely beautiful and moving experience with masterly performances from Rebecka Liljeberg as Lola and, in probably his last role before his sad death, Sergei Bodrov jr as Misha.

Unofficial site: This excellent site is a work of love and has a lot of information about the production of the film. It seems not to have been updated for some time, but still has a lot of interesting stuff.

For a taste of the film's atmosphere we have provided two clips. The first features the very funny and talented English actor Keith Allen in a musical interlude. Lou's Song' by Pablo Cook and Keith Allen. The second is one of the touching moments between Lola and Misha, this dance sequence featured music by Lorenna McKennit (below).
